Welcome to the Home Page of The Mindful Body, Feldenkrais and Yoga in Sheffield.
I am a qualified teacher of The Feldenkrais Method and I teach classes, workshops and individual sessions in and around the Sheffield area. I also travel to colleges and universities to teach specialist modules for dancers, actors and musicians. If you are interested in learning more about The Feldenkrais Method, please follow the different pages on this website. If you would like to book a class for yourself or for a group of people, then you can go straight to my Classes page to book or leave a message.
I am also a qualified teacher of Hatha Yoga and again, I teach classes for individuals and groups in and around Sheffield. I am passionate about people finding physical and mental wellness through movement and my style of teaching yoga encourages you to find ease, comfort and confidence in the physical postures as well as discovering the benefits of relaxation and mindfulness. 12 – 12.30pm “Home Office – Take a Break From Work” ONLINE
Is all this extra time in front of the screen becoming a pain in the neck? This short lunchtime Feldenkrais class will unlock stiffness in your neck, shoulders and back and help you tackle the day ahead with ease and energy. Please book here
6-7.30pm “Yoga for Health and Happiness” ONLINE
A friendly weekly class that is suitable for beginners, improvers and anyone who would like to bring a mindful approach to their yoga practice. The first 60 minutes is a general yoga class and the final 30 minutes focuses on breathing, relaxation and mindfulness. Please book here
Wednesdays:
5.30-6.30 pm “Move Better, Feel Better!” ONLINE
An early evening Feldenkrais Class to help you unwind and unlock stiffness and tension in the whole body. You will move better and improve well-being in your body and mind. Please book here
Thursdays:
6-7pm “Move Better With The Feldenkrais Method” ONLINE
A weekly class for anyone interested in discovering easier movement and greater flexibility. A relaxed, friendly Feldenkrais class where we explore easing necks and shoulders, releasing stiff hips and finding better movement in everyday life. Please book here
SATURDAYS
First Saturdays Workshops.
These workshops allow you to go a little deeper into the Feldenkrais Method and find out more about integrated, functional movement. On the First Saturday of every month, I hold a 90 minute online workshop on a special theme.

Online and Live classes and 1:1 sessions this autumn
LIVE FELDENKRAIS CLASS AND 1:1 SESSIONS FOR THE AUTUMN
It’s been great fun teaching Feldenkrais online whilst we’ve been in lockdown but I’m aware that, for some people, online classes are not for them. Therefore, I’m very pleased to say that All Saints Church is opening its doors again in September. I will be starting live classes again on Thursday 10 September from 10 – 11am. We will be in the main hall, which is large enough to be safely socially distanced, and also much quieter as it’s some distance from the playgroup!
To ease people back into live classes, the first session will be free to attend. Because of Covid-19 safety measures, please bring your own mat or blanket to lie down on; I will mark out the floor so that you have a safe space of 1-2 metres from other people. The online classes will continue on Wednesdays from 5.30-6.30pm and Fridays from 11.15-12.15, so if you can use your Class Pass for any or all three classes.
Online 1:1 sessions (Functional Integration)
I know that many of my clients are missing their regular 1:1 sessions during this time of social distancing. I’m very happy to say that I’m starting my 1:1 sessions back at the Practice Rooms from 8th September – to begin with, sessions will be on Tuesday and Friday afternoons in the Blue Room. This room is on the ground floor, so no more climbing up to the attic! – and is large and airy. Please go to the bookings page for available dates
